A group of friends from Croatia has organized a winter trip to Norway in 2024. They are going freeriding in the mountains of this beautiful Scandinavian country. As part of the Erasmus+ project ELPIS, part of our efforts were dedicated to finding and creating new ways of approaching historical and social themes through drama education. One of the groups which tested these out was a specially formed ensemble which brought together 14 university and final-year high school students who prepared a play centred around the dissolution of Yugoslavia. Different methods and techniques were used in the work and their implementation was documented to allow for replicability in different contexts and with different people. Goofy goes to Kyrgyzstan is a video about eleven friends having fun while traveling and snowboarding together. We discovered a lot about the culture and tradition of the country on our roadtrip all around Issyk-Kull lake. We visited many small villages, went on a horseback riding, and explored the Jyrgallan valley while catboarding on a huge mountains all covered with fresh snow. Today the wind was blowing on the sea surface. I spent a few hours on the beach watching some kitesurfers.

The "VEITA" short film is a project written and directed by Lorenzo Fattor, in collaboration with director Sergio Cinghiale from Triest. The idea behind the project was born by chance, after reading the poetry of the same name written by the istrian poet Maria Sciolis. The history described in the short film Go through the highlights of the life of an Istrian priest during the events of October 1943, when German troops acted the so-called "Wolkenbruch" or "Nubifragio operation". Istria's raking continued throughout the month of October; Not only the partisan movement, but above all civilians, both Italian and Slavs were affected with brutality. The life of our protagonist is distorted by the war setting, which will slowly lead to losing confidence in his faith and in the religious belief of him. While German troops move on the territory, implementing their brutal policy, the priest appeals to his faith, retreating in prayer. He himself will be captured and tortured, ending up giving Nazis useful information in search of people close to the partisan movement; the Germans save their life, but cutting him an ear. The mutilated priest, in civilian clothes, which blew his double in clerical dress, is a metaphor for the total religious loss, the last act of a man destroyed by the senses of guilt, remaining alive thanks to his cowardice in front of death. The short film was shot at the beginning of 2021. The scenes with protagonists Nazi soldiers were directed by Sergio Cinghiale, and kindly lent to the project.

Vivere all' italiana in an international contest of Zoopas creative platform. This is the project that I present for it.

Il cortometraggio “Relicta” nasce da un idea di Lorenzo Fattor, ed è stato realizzato con il supporto del collettivo creativo Sonicyut. Il progetto ha vinto il secondo premio nella categoria "Arti cinematografiche" del concorso Istria Nobilissima nel 2016, ed è stato proiettato fuori concorso al Cinema dei Fabbri di Trieste. La storia narra di un uomo che, rimasto solo e costretto ad abbandonare la sua casa e la sua vita, intraprende un viaggio che lo porterà fino al mare. “Relicta” vuole essere una metafora in rappresentanza di situazioni reali di cui ancora oggi siamo testimoni . Nel corso della Storia innumerevoli popoli, famiglie, comunità piccole o grandi, sono state costrette ad abbandonare tutto ciò che possedevano per cause di forza maggiore, contro la loro volontà, per sopravvivere e non soccombere ai conflitti che martoriavano le loro terre. Guerre e persecuzioni costringono ancora oggi, nel ventunesimo secolo, gli uomini ad abbandonare la loro quotidianità, le loro abitazioni, le loro vite per partire alla ricerca di una speranza per una vita migliore. L’ immigrazione, oggi, è un fenomeno tanto sentito quanto ignorato, e noi, nel nostro piccolo, vorremmo poter dare qualcosa. La scelta delle location è circoscritta ai paesaggi dell’ Istria, per valorizzare il nostro territorio natio, per offrire uno scorcio di bellezza della nostra penisola che trasuda Storia e, soprattutto, storie. Ciò non sta a significare che l’uomo che vediamo lasciare la sua casa alle spalle sia necessariamente un protagonista dell esodo istriano. Abbiamo volutamente cercato la semplicità visiva unita ai bellissimi e suggestivi paesaggi ed all'atmosfera unica di quei luoghi, senza utilizzare bandiere, inni o allusioni ad un popolo piuttosto che ad un altro. Analizzando il cortometraggio si nota una separazione in tre archi narrativi; -nel primo arco vediamo un paesino immobile, silenzioso, abbandonato, in cui l’ultimo uomo rimasto cerca il coraggio di partire, di lasciarsi alle spalle la sua vita. -nel secondo il suo errare lo porta in svariati posti, quasi come a voler vedere per l’ultima volta quella terra a lui così cara. -nel terzo ed ultimo arco la storia si conclude, con il protagonista che finalmente arriva al mare, capisce che tutti i suoi ricordi più belli resteranno indietro, e si avvia verso un futuro incerto. Il mare rappresenta la salvezza, il valico che separa le anime tormentate dalla speranza. Così fu per Mosè e gli ebrei che fuggirono dall'Egitto, così per Dante ed il suo inferno, così fu per tutti quelli che salparono a bordo del Toscana, così è ancora oggi per tutti quelli che rischiano la vita ogni notte nelle acque del Mediterraneo, ammassati in condizioni disumane nella speranza di un futuro migliore di quello che la patria ha assegnato loro. “Relicta” non vuole essere nulla al di fuori di quello che è, un uomo che si carica la vita in spalla e abbandona la sua casa, costretto da un destino non suo, ad annegare la sua anima in un mare che, è speranza, ma anche un altro confine, il più vasto.
